WXXV hosts Viewer Choice Awards Gala

You all voted, and the results are in.

WXXV’s Viewer Choice Awards Gala kicked off Thursday night, honoring all of the Gulf Coast businesses and individuals who were nominated.

This year, viewers have voted on their favorite mainstays from the community – from the best restaurants, seafood, and bars to the best electricians, plumbers, and everything in between.

Awards were presented to the top choices in each category.

2023 was the second year of the WXXV VCA’s and the first in-person ceremony.

This year, the event was held at the Hancock Whitney’s Great Southern Club in Gulfport.

Chief Meteorologist Rob Knight hosted the event and reflected on how WXXV has grown and changed with its community of viewers.

“You know, with our viewers, we work hand in hand with them. Of course, they advertise with us, and we’ve grown quite a bit in the last ten years or so,” said Chief Meteorologist Rob Knight. “And we love that feeling. We love that feeling of comradery. We like that feeling of knowing that we’re here for the community. But even better, we love the fact that the community also recognizes and knows that we’re here for them as well. It’s not just a one-way street. We work hand-in-hand as we proceed forward.”

Be on the lookout for WXXV’s full coverage of the ceremony, airing November 12 on NBC at 10:30 PM.
