WXXV 25 visits with First Lady Elee Reeves

On Tuesday, WXXV News 25 took a trip to the Governor’s Mansion in Jackson to visit First Lady Elee Reeves and tour the historic mansion.

Reeves was born in Tylertown, MS, and attended Millsaps College, where she was involved in Millsaps Singers and Kappa Delta Sorority. She graduated with a Master’s degree

in Business Administration. Reeves was also an avid volunteer, working as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader and taking on various other opportunities.

Since taking on her role as the First Lady, Reeves has led many initiatives. She partnered with Keep Mississippi Beautiful following the flooding of the Pearl River in 2020 and operates the Friends of the Mansion program, which has helped restore and preserve parts of the historic Governor’s Mansion. Reeves is also the author of “Fred the Turtle,” a children’s activity book that she has shared across the entire Magnolia State.
