Wreck on HWY 49 causes traffic delays

A wreck on Highway 49 left traffic at a standstill earlier this afternoon.
Two cars collided in the southbound lane near Planet Fitness in Gulfport just before 6 p.m. One vehicle ended up off road in a ditch.
Traffic was reduced to one lane during rush hour as officials cleared the scene. The scene is now clear and all traffic is flowing smoothly.
