Wreck on I-10 in Jackson County

Around 4 a.m. officials responded to a car accident on I-10 in Jackson County.

Chase Elkins with Mississippi Highway Patrol tells News 25 that a Ford Explorer pulling a trailer was heading eastbound on I-10 near the Pascagoula River Bridge when it lost control and began to roll over.

After the vehicle stopped on its side, a Toyota Camry crashed into the undercarriage of the vehicle.

One passenger of the Ford was flown to University of South Alabama with life threatening injuries and both drivers along with three other passengers from the Explorer were transported to Singing River Hospital with minor injuries.
