Wreaths across America ceremony in Long Beach

Long Beach will join the rest of the nation honoring those who fought and died for our freedom.

This year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars American Legion Ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the Long Beach City Cemetery on Saturday.

This is where at least 216 veterans are laid to rest. In 2018, there were only ten wreaths placed at the cemetery, leaving more than 200 grave sites bare.

This year, with the support of businesses, organizations, and veterans’ families and friends, the City of Long Beach’s goal is to ensure no veteran is forgotten.
