WOW Care Closet offers free clothing to women in the community

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Women of Wisdom held its monthly Transformation Tuesday event at the Knight Nonprofit Center in Gulfport.

Teachers and professionals of all ages came out to the care closet to browse professional and business casual clothing, leaving with their bags filled to the brim.

From purses to blouse, pants, and shoes, every item is free.

Director Jill Compton says Transformation Tuesdays are for teachers preparing for a new year filled with fresh faces, young women starting their careers, and those who just need a change in wardrobe and renewed confidence.

The Clothing Closet opens to the public on the third Tuesday of each month, but those in need of wardrobe refresh can still fill their bags by calling the Women of Wisdom to make an appoint every Monday through Wednesday.
