Worker crushed to death at pipe manufacturing company in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- We’re learning new details after a worker at a pipe manufacturing company in Hancock County was crushed to death while working last weekend.

The incident happened at Jindal Tubular, which has a facility at the Hancock County Industrial Park.

Thirty-seven-year-old Narlon Benitiz-Salgado of Honduras died from blunt force trauma to the head after being caught between two pipes this past Saturday, the 15^th.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

This is the second death in two years at Jindal Tubular. A 25-year-old worker died in January 2024 of blunt force trauma after pipes collapsed.
