Work on East Pearl River bridge will affect traffic on I-10

If the traffic slow-downs around Menge Avenue aren’t enough of a headache, MDOT has something else for motorists to be aware of.

Work started Wednesday afternoon on the westbound lanes of the East Pearl River bridge in Hancock County to make repairs caused by a vehicle hitting the bridge.

The work is expected to last through Friday, August 11.

Drivers may want to seek an alternate route — but remember, Highway 90 through Pearlington also is closed for work on the bridge there.
