Woolmarket Elementary student builds Blessing Box for the community
In the spirit of the holiday season, a Woolmarket Elementary student and her grandfather have teamed up to share their blessings with those in need in the community.
Curtie Marie Parker and her grandfather, Curtis Waldrop, have built a Blessings Box. The wooden donation box is placed outside of the school and is part of a service project for ‘Fearlessly Me,’ a girl’s empowerment club at Woolmarket Elementary.
It is currently stocked with warm beanies and gloves to help neighbors stay cozy during the winter season.
Curtie hopes the Blessing Box will inspire others to share kindness and support those who are less fortunate.
