Woods Fire in Harrison County

An aggressive woods fire threatened nearby homes in a Saucier-Lizana community this afternoon.
The blaze broke out around 4 o’clock on Doug Lee Road. Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan says the fire started in a field then spread to nearby woods. Officials were able to keep the blaze away from homes.
Firefighters called the Mississippi Forestry Commission to help with the fire. No cause has been determined. No injuries were reported.
