Women’s Resource Center hosts semi-annual yard sale
The Women’s Resource Center in Gulfport is hosting its semi-annual yard sale to raise money for the center.
The yard sale is one of the center’s major fundraisers of the year. Last year they raised over $18,000 from their yard sale they had in the fall and spring.
Everything from clothing, appliances, furniture, toys, and more could be found set up outside the building.
The money helps the center to afford items such as diapers, wipes, and other resources for those who cannot afford it.
The yard sale will be happening again Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Executive Director Susan Kremer Jones said, “What’s fun about it is that when we open up the boxes we’re always surprised at what these wonderful donors will give us. I mean, we had the most wonderful things donated and then it is fun for us when they come to check out to see the treasures they found.”
The next fundraiser the center will have is ‘Biscuits for Babies’ on May 12th.
