Women’s Club of Gulfport Tree Dedication
The Women’s Club of Gulfport likes to celebrate National Arbor Day every year by beautifying South Mississippi.
This year, a tree dedication took place at the Bark Park in Gulfport.
Mayor Billy Hewes was in attendance as a lovely sweet olive tree was planted at the park. The Women’s Club of Gulfport is a service organization for women to improve themselves, help others, and improve the environment.
Director of Community Service for the Environment Pollyanna Robelen tells News 25 it is a great feeling when residents and tourists can enjoy nature in all areas of Gulfport. “We help out every area of Mississippi, and specifically the City of Gulfport. Whether it’s the Hydration Fund for the firemen, beautification with our parks, and also with planting more and more trees to improve the air quality and the lives of our citizens.”
Be on the lookout for more tree dedications and other events regarding the women’s club in the near future.
