Women In Combat
For the first time in history, the U.S. Army has opened up twenty thousand combat positions to women.
One young woman is one of the first women hired into this military specialty.
In the U.S. Army, a combat engineer is responsible for the movement of friendly and enemy forces.
That means they’re involved the detonation of explosives and destruction of obstacles.
Prior to last November, this role was closed to women.
