Woman found dead in car in Moss Point

Moss Point police are looking into the death of a woman who was found in her car this morning.

Police responded to the Pilot Truck Stop located on Highway 63 just south of I-10. The manager reported a suspicious vehicle that had been in the parking lot for several days.

Last week, a worker at the truck stop had spoken to the victim when she was told to “mind her own business.”

Once officers arrived this morning, they found an African American female deceased in the driver’s seat. The woman was in her 50’s and is believed to be from the Birmingham, Alabama area.

Although the investigation is still ongoing, according to Moss Point police there were no initial signs of foul play.
