Woman charged for embezzlement
District Attorney Joel Smith announced today that 53-year-old Melinda Rosetti-Spence pled guilty to one count of embezzlement from the Pink Hearts Foundation at the Harrison County Courthouse in Gulfport.
Rosetti-Spence previously served as treasurer for the Pink Hearts Foundation, a charity that provides wigs for children and adults with hair loss disorders including patients receiving cancer treatment.
Today, the defendant admitted cashing checks from March 2015 through June 2016 which totaled over $260,000 for her own personal benefit.
