WOMAN ARRESTED IN OVERNIGHT SHOOTING IN GULFPORT

Gulfport police arrested a woman on the charge of first degree murder in connection with the shooting death that happened in the 13-thousand block of River Road.
When officers responded to reports of shots fired around 8:45 last night, they found a man dead and 23-year-old Sandra Goff still on the scene.
She was identified as a suspect and taken to the Harrison County jail where she was offered no bond.
Police say the shooting appeared to be due to a verbal argument that escalated.
The 38-year-old male victim’s identity is still being withheld pending family notification.
Gulfport detectives and divers are still out on scene searching for the murder weapon.
Earlier this morning, Goff was also on the scene helping officials find evidence.
