Woman arrested for fleeing, drug possession in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Gulfport Police arrested a woman for failing to stop for officers and drug possession.
Forty-four-year-old Jennifer Parfait is charged with one count each of felony fleeing and possession of methamphetamines.
Gulfport motorcycle officers saw Parfait run a red light on Cowan Road around 12:30 p.m. last Friday and attempted a traffic stop.
Parfait allegedly kept on going until she reached a dead-end road, then tried running on foot, and she was taken into custody a short time later after hiding in the woods.
In addition to these charges, Parfait also has outstanding felony warrants out of Hancock, Pearl River, and Harrison counties.
