Winter weather recovery efforts continue in North Mississippi
As recovery efforts continue in North Mississippi following last week’s winter storm, there is some good news as people continue to help each other out in the recovery process.
State Emergency Management officials now say that less than 30,000 Mississippians are without power now.
MEMA officials continue to coordinate with their federal partners at FEMA to bring more resources into the state like medical supplies and generators.
The Mississippi State Department of Health also continues to operate medical needs shelters in Alcorn, Lafayette, and Panola counties to assist those who specific medical needs who still lack power at their homes.
