William Carey University shares growth on campuses

Hattiesburg, Miss. (WXXV)- William Carey University leaders are talking about more growth on the horizon at both the Hattiesburg and Tradition Campuses.

In Hattiesburg, work has begun on a master plan for 107 acres of newly purchased land adjacent to William Carey’s baseball and softball fields.

A centerpiece of that plan – creating a new master entrance to the university through that property, connecting to Highway 49.

As for the Tradition Campus in Harrison County, work is on the horizon to add campus housing and site expansion.

All this has the goal to keep William Carey graduates in Mississippi.

Other amenities popping up on William Carey’s Hattiesburg campus for students include a new green space and covered stage near the heart of campus for multipurpose events.
