William Carey Soccer Player Injured in Tornado
Unfortunately, Taylor Gautreaux of the William Carey women’s soccer team wasn’t so fortunate.
According to Head Coach Danny Owners, Gautreaux had three of her fingers severed during the tornado. Owens says the freshman defender was having trouble getting out of her dorm room when a door was slammed shut on her right hand.
He also tells News 25 that Gautreaux underwent successful surgery Saturday evening. There was too much trauma for doctors to reattach her fingers.
