Wild Hog Control program applications open

Agriculture Commissioner Andy Gipson announced the opening of the November 2025 Wild Hog Control Program application period.

The new round of applications opens Saturday, November 1 and will remain open until November 15.

All Mississippi counties are eligible to apply for this program. Applications must be completed and submitted online. You can find that website by clicking here.

Submitted applications will be evaluated based on the number of acres available for trapping, historical agriculture losses caused by wild hogs on the property, and current trapping efforts on the property.

Traps will be available for one-month intervals, depending upon use and success.
