Wild Harrison County Chase Today

On September 12, 2017 at approximately 1115 hours, the Biloxi Police Department responded to the area of 850 Bayview for a report of a Desporte’s Seafood truck being stolen. Officers canvassed the area and located the truck in the area of Kensington and Bayview, where it had been abandoned. In the same area an elderly couple was stopped by the same suspect and forced from their car by the use of threats of bodily harm. The suspect drove off in the couple’s car.
Officers located the suspect and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect continued to flee making his way down several streets in Biloxi before heading north on the I-110. With the assistance of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the D’Iberville Police Departments the suspect finally stopped the vehicle in the area of Lamey Bridge and Big Ridge in D’Iberville. The suspect fled on foot from the car but was apprehended a short distance later on Highland.
The suspect has been identified as 38 year old Lowrey Roland Webster IV, a resident of Slidell, LA. At this time the investigation is ongoing. Charges for Grand Larceny, Car Jacking, and Felony Eluding are pending.
During the course of the investigation the victims and several witnesses were interviewed. Lowrey Webster is being charged with 2 counts of Car Jacking and 1 count of Felony Eluding. His bond was set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain at $100,000 per Car Jacking Count and $50,000 for Felony Eluding totaling $250,000.00. Once Webster is booked in at the Biloxi Police Department he will be transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
