Wild at Heart Rescue visits Hancock County Library
Some not so furry friends visited the Hancock County Library in Bay St. Louis.
Wild at Heart Rescue brought snakes, turtles, and tarantulas that children can see and touch. Wild at Heart Rescue is an organization specializing in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured or sick wildlife.
Children learned how to respond when finding an injured or abandoned animal.
Joshua Holland is the director of security at Wild at Heart. He says the rescue came to meet the children at the library because it is important to pass along the information. “Our biggest goal at Wild at Heart Rescue is the conservation of our native wildlife. So, we rescue, rehabilitate, and release. It is important to educate our youth on anything that’s really important. So, this is something we have a high passion for and we have to pass that torch.”
