Wiggins Fire Chief receives big honor

WIGGINS, Miss. (WXXV)- One fire chief from South Mississippi is being honored for his service.

Wiggins Fire Chief Steven Purvis is designated a Mississippi Fire Chief.

A Mississippi Fire Chief is given to anyone who goes above and beyond their leadership, service, and dedication to the fire service in the state.

The Wiggins Fire Department shared that Chief Purvis strengthens the department as well as uplifts fire service professionals across the state.
