Wiggins Fire Captain passes fire inspector course

WIGGINS, Miss. (WXXV)-The Wiggins Fire Department is recognizing one of their own for a big achievement.

Captain Kevin Sharpe has passed the fire inspector course at the state fire academy.

This course has two weeks of online learning, followed by a week of in-person training.

Fire inspectors identify fire hazards, ensure buildings comply with state and local fire codes, as well as enforcing regulations.
