What-a-Teacher Grant awarded to Ocean Springs Upper Elementary’s Kelly Williams

School is out for the summer and teachers and kids alike are enjoying the start of their summer break.

Before the final bell rang at Ocean Springs Upper Elementary last week, our very own Grant Chighizola caught up with one lucky teacher being recognized for her hard work with a little help from our friends at Whataburger.

We thank Whataburger for their part in celebrating and recognizing Ms. Williams and other teachers across the country.

In a statement, Whataburger officials said: “Whataburger’s ‘What-a-Teacher grant is our way of saying we love our educators via our ‘Feeding Student Success’ program. Feeding Student Success is a program dedicated to students. Whataburger invests in schools, programs, tools, resources, and people/organizations who help students from pre-K to college and adult education achieve their goals. We chose Kelly Williams as one of this year’s winners because she goes above and beyond for her students and is always pushing them to succeed. She is well loved by her students as well as her fellow teachers at Ocean Springs Upper Elementary.”
