Weston Wilson named Southern League Player of the Month

Shuckers player Weston Wilson is in the headlines for the second time this week as the recipient of Southern League Player of the Month honors for April.

Quite the recognition for Biloxi’s corner man who took home Southern League Player of the Week two days ago.

Over the course of 24 games this month, Wilson led the league in total bases, runs scored, slugging percentage, and OPS while also ranking second with six home runs.

As of today, the Milwaukee Brewers have promoted Angel Perdomo to Triple A San Antonio, joining Blake Allemand as the second Shuckers player to get the call to the Missions this week.

In a corresponding move, Johan Belisario has been re-added to the Shuckers roster.
