West Harrison cheerleaders sign with MGCCC

Three cheerleaders at West Harrison High School will no longer be yelling ‘Go Canes’ on the sidelines.

This morning, seniors Hannah Sexton, Jaden Dedeaux, and Jathan Watson all made the commitment to continue their cheerleading careers at the next level.

After graduation, they will pick up blue and gold pom-poms and cheer on the bulldogs at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Hannah Sexton tells News 25 she is new to the sport, but is ready to take it to the next level. “It feels really good considering that it is my first year cheering and I am excited to move onto a further step and I hope we go far with Perk. I’m excited.”

Jaden Dedeaux said, “I am looking forward to a great year with a different team and hopefully we got to nationals and win.”
