Welfare check leads to homicide investigation in Gulfport
Police in Gulfport are investigating an apparent weekend homicide. They’re waiting for autopsy results right now.
Gulfport police say they were called to the area of 25th Street near Hewes Avenue around 4:30 Sunday afternoon for a welfare check and that’s when they found a man’s body.
Police have not released his name yet, but they say it appears he was a victim of a homicide. We’ll learn more about his cause of death once the autopsy is complete.
