Weekend traffic plan for Cruisin’ the Coast

Expect traffic congestion to increase across South Mississippi’s main thoroughfares as the Cruisin’ the Coast weekend ramps up. WXXV News 25’s Everett Ganier Jr. has more on how one Coast city is responding.

Traffic near Edgewater Mall is starting to back up due to the Cruisin’ the Coast events in Biloxi.

Traffic cones were staged at about 3 a.m. Friday morning. Biloxi has had an influx of visitors for Cruisin’ the Coast, which is causing the delays in traffic.

People who are not participating in Cruisin’ the Coast should find an alternate route via Pass Road and Interstate 10.

The Biloxi Police Department will monitor traffic and implement an event traffic plan when necessary.
