Watson addresses Gulf Coast Business Council about importance of free, fair elections
Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson was on the Coast this morning to talk about the importance of free and fair elections.
Watson, who oversees voting in the state, spoke to the Gulf Coast Business Council during its August general membership meeting at the Knight Nonprofit Center.
Watson also talked about the Tidelands Trust Fund, which disburses money generated from tidelands leases to projects along the Coast.
In addition to Watson’s comments, business leaders also had an opportunity to talk with public servants. Mayors, supervisors and legislators from South Mississippi were invited to the meeting.
