Water back on in Waveland, City under boil water notice

The water is back on in Waveland now after a city-wide outage earlier today. However, a boil water notice has been issued.

Mayor Jay Trapani tells us public works crews found a frozen transducer on the elevated water tower off of Highway 90.

Because of that, the pumps were not able to run, causing the water outage.

While water has been restored, the city is under a boil water notice today and tomorrow due to the drop in pressure.
