Wanted for aggravated assault in Pearl River County

Picayune police officers and Pearl River County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a man accused of aggravated assault.

Just before 10 Saturday night, Picayune police officers responded to a call at Sun Roamers RV Park. Police say a person was shot multiple times.

The suspect has been identified as Christian Zelaya.

With the help of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department air support, Picayune police officers and Pearl River County sheriff’s deputies spent hours looking for Zelaya.

However, it is now believed that he is no longer in the area. The victim is in stable condition, but seriously injured.
