Walter Anderson Museum raising money for artist’s family in Ukraine

Walter Anderson Museum of Art hosts their quarterly magic hour event spotlighting their current voice of WAMA.

The free event tonight will have live entertainment, food, beverages, kids activities, and art work for sale by Ukrainian artist Oksana Fogg. The event will also celebrate their upcoming exhibit ‘Return to the oilfield.’

The magic hour will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and all proceeds will go to Fogg’s family in Ukraine.

Fogg is a participant of Walter Anderson Museum of Art’s biannual Horn Island Camp where she shared the struggles that her family and friends are facing because of the Russia-Ukraine war. “All of them lost their  jobs and possibility to make any money. Then everything got expensive, plus some of them lost their house and apartments. Mom, the main problem is she broke her leg, she was running from siren bombs. It’s a lot of stress.”

If you are not able to attend the event, you can contact Fogg at oksanavfogg@gmail.com for purchases.
