Walnut Grove man to serve 20 years on drug conviction

A Walnut Grove man will serve 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug charges this week.

District Attorney W. Crosby Parker said 53-year-old Danny Donrull Bolton pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent.

Circuit Court Judge Lisa P. Dodson sentenced Bolton to 30 years, with 10 years suspended, leaving 20 years to serve, followed by 5 years of supervision.

The case began on January 26, 2022, when the Biloxi Police’s Special Crimes Unit, during an investigation,  arranged to buy about 28 grams of methamphetamine from
Bolton.

Investigators located Bolton in his vehicle at a restaurant parking lot on Highway 90. Bolton had nearly 14 grams of meth in his pocket.

After his arrest, Bolton told Investigators that he intended to deliver the 14 grams of methamphetamine he had in his possession, and would obtain the remaining amount to deliver at a later date.
