Walmart rolls out membership service

Walmart is rolling out its subscription plan, Walmart Plus, a move to compete with the likes of Amazon and its “Prime” subscription. You can either pay $98 per year or 12.95 per month.

Walmart looks to continue its blossoming online sales.

Members get free shipping on orders $35 or more on hundreds of thousands of items from video games to groceries. Certain items can be delivered as soon as the same day they’re ordered.

Folks will also get a discount on gas of up to five cents per gallon at Walmart, Murphy USA.

The subscription rolls out September 15th and you can even sign up for a free 15-day trial.
