Wade-In Remembrance Ceremony Tonight

The Biloxi Beach Wade-Ins is described as one of South Mississippi’s most significant historical civil rights events.

Tonight at 5:30 there will be a remembrance ceremony in Biloxi at the Dr. Frank Gruich Senior community center on Howard Avenue.
Those who participated in the wade-in will be on hand as they recount their experiences and struggles back in 1960.
The names of Wade-In participants, both deceased and still living, will be read aloud during the ceremony.
