Voting Equipment Gets Pre-Election Test

Election workers have been busy the past few days with big preparations in Harrison County.
Ballots, signs to show people where to vote, and election machines were loaded up and sent out to all the different precincts.
Today, the election equipment got a bit of a workout and the public was invited to watch. The Election Commission tests the equipment before each election to ensure the integrity of the election and that everything runs smoothly tomorrow. District 5 Election Commissioner Carolyn Handler said, “We have already tested and re-tested even before today, but that is so that the public can come in and to see that we have tested the machines, everything is working properly and will tabulate properly, just to make sure that everything runs smoothly.”
The equipment tested today proved functional for tomorrow’s election.
