Voters head out to cast their vote in Mississippi primary election
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Election Day voting got off to a calm start this morning at one Harrison County polling place.
Voters moved through the polls at a steady pace during the first hour of voting at the Lyman Community Center, with no long lines early in the day.
Election officials expect the turnout to increase later this evening as more people head to the polls before they close at 7 p.m.
Voters are reminded they must bring a valid photo ID and can only choose to vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary.
