Why you should vote in tomorrow’s general election
Cities all over the Coast are gearing up for the general election tomorrow.
City officials and candidates are encouraging all residents to vote and make sure their voice is known for their community. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Ocean Springs mayoral Republican candidate Shea Dobson and Incumbent Mayor Connie Moran will be awaiting the election results, both hoping to come out on top. The two mayoral candidates tell News 25 how they’re feeling going into the election and why everyone should take part. “I’m feeling really good. I believe we have the numbers. Just encouraging everyone to go out and have their voice heard and really just get to the polls. As long as everyone stays engaged and energetic I think we can pull it off,” said Dobson.
Mayor Connie Moran said, “I feel very enthusiastic and very positive. I have a lot of support from friends and family all over town. It’s just so important that everyone gets out and exercises their right to vote.”
Ballots will feature Democrats, Republicans, and Independent candidates. If you plan to vote, remember to bring a valid ID. Precinct locations and more information on tomorrow’s general election can be found on your city’s website.
