Vote to legalize online sports gambling in the Mississippi House

A vote to legalize online sports gambling in Mississippi could come as early as this week.

House Bill 774 requires a majority vote and would go into effect July 1 of this year if it passes both chambers.

The bill is being considered by the gaming committee.

Online sports and race bets would have to go through one of the state’s casinos.

The casinos would be able to use Draft Kings, FanDuel, or one of the other platforms to accept wagers.
