Volunteers needed for cleanup in Moss Point
Moss Point still needs volunteers to help with the cleanup and they’re asking for your assistance.
We caught up with a volunteer group called the 8 Days of Hope to learn more about their efforts. They let News 25 hop on the lift for a bird’s-eye view of the tornado damage.
Most of their volunteers come from upstate Mississippi and they were amazed by the catastrophic impact caused by the tornado.
The 8 Days of Hope is a Christian-based nonprofit organization where skilled workers donate their time to help areas like Moss Point recover from devastation.
Their volunteers will tell you the rewards they receive are far greater than what they give. Dustin Sullivan with 8 Days of Hope said, “In a situation like this, we come here to try to bless other people, but to be quite honest with you, we receive more blessings being here, feeling like we can help somebody. That’s what it is all about.”
If you’re interested in volunteering, call Moss Point’s service center at 228-990-4222 and they will guide you on how you can lend a hand.
