Volunteers getting ready for the Night to Shine prom Friday night
Tomorrow night, the North Woolmarket Baptist Church will be rolling out the red carpet for those with special needs.
After shutting down for two years because of COVID, the Night to Shine Prom is back in our area.
The Tim Tebow Foundation sponsored event now has more than 137 registered guests ready to dance the night away.
The prom will be held in the Woolmarket Worship Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This will be the church’s fifth time hosting the event for those with special needs. Woolmarket Baptist Pastor Rev. Paul Crowley said, “These special people are around us and they need love and they need appreciation all the time. It’s a greater awareness for our church and for all that come and volunteer. This is one out of 365 days, but the other 364 days these folks are just as special and need love all the time.”
While there is not an upper-age limit to attend the prom, the minimum age to attend the event is 14-years-old.
