Volunteering with the Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is constantly showing up and showing out in our community.
Whether they’re helping distribute vaccines, participating in disaster clean up, or simply lending a hand, the Salvation Army is always doing the most good.
With so many in need on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, officials from the organization are reminding members of the community, volunteers and donations are needed year-round and that joy comes from helping your neighbor. Jillian Rodriguez with the Salvation Army Kroc Center said, “At the Salvation Army we always need volunteers. I know people always think of us right around Christmas time, but all year volunteers help us out with feeding the homeless or anything we do.”
Salvation Army Major Bradley Caldwell said, “They become people not only providing help but ambassadors too. They go back and say hey I helped out with these people that were hurting and it made me feel good and fulfilled and I want other people to share in that.”
