Visitors coming out to Charlie’s U-Pik in Wiggins

On Thursday, our morning reporter EJ went to Charlie’s U-Pik in Wiggins.

Just in time, too, with the summer starting there isn’t a better time to go out and pick your own food!

A U-Pik allows the public to go out into the farm fields and pick their desired fruit or vegetable straight from the source.

Not to worry though, if you don’t want to get out and dirty, you can find the produce boxed up as well.

News 25 headed to Charlie’s U-Pik to learn what kind of foods could be expected. Charlie’s U-Pik Co-Owner Allen Eubanks said, “We have tomatoes, lots of different types of peppers, hot peppers, sweet peppers. We have eggplants, lima beans, butter beans, some snap beans, peas, and okra. We want everyone to come out for a picking good time!”
