Visitor bleachers demolished at Greyhound Stadium

The visitor bleachers at Greyhound Stadium in Ocean Springs are in the process of being taken down for safety reasons.

The visitor bleachers on the opposite side of the home team side will be replaced. The high school will accommodate visiting fans with temporary bleachers during this football season holding roughly 450 fans. Ocean Springs Athletic Director Mark Hubbard said, “It’s been a long time coming and the visitors’ side is steadily deteriorated and the school board asks us to do a report on it and when we got the report back, it came back condemned basically. So, we had to do something and we’ve got football season coming up and we decided to tear this down and bring in some portable bleachers.”

Greyhound Stadium is located off campus on Bienville Boulevard near downtown Ocean Springs.
