Victims identified in fatal Highway 614 crash in Jackson County

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 614 in Jackson County.

A 2011 Dodge Ram Pickup driven by an 18-year-old from Vancleave and passenger, 19- year-old Blayne Blair, traveled west on Highway 614 when it collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 80-year-old James Davis traveling east on Highway 614.

Blair and Davis both received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
