Victim in fatal pedestrian involved accident in Gautier was 61-year-old man

We’ve learned the pedestrian who was hit and killed in Gautier last night was a 61-year-man.

Gautier police say he was not from the Coast, but they are not able to release his name right now. Officials are still trying to get in touch with the man’s family.

The 61-year-old man was hit around 8 last night while walking near Beasley Road and Highway 90.

Gautier police say their preliminary investigation shows the driver was not at fault.
