Victim in fatal motorcycle wreck identified

Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was working a fatal wreck on Canal Road.

Harrison County coroner Brian Switzer confirmed the identity of the victim as 27-year-old Chandler Bean.

Bean was an active duty Seabee, stationed at the base in Gulfport.

Deputies were called out about 8:13 a.m. after a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler collided in the southbound lane in front of the Clark’s station just north of Interstate 10.
