Victim identified in Sunday evening police chase that ended in fatal crash

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The investigation continues after a police chase and subsequent crash left one person dead Sunday evening in Biloxi.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victim in that crash as 19-year-old Tyler Harris of Biloxi.

Biloxi police tell us that the crash happened as a result of a pursuit that started in D’Iberville after a car was flagged as stolen out of Biloxi.

The incident happened near the intersection of Popp’s Ferry and Cedar Lake roads and the crash involved two vehicles.

No police officers were injured and no one in the second vehicle suffered any injuries.
